Phil Myer, for the white oak, and special Ephraim Pottery, for the pottery base, have given me the perfect stage upon which to apply stained glass to this one-of-a-kind table lamp.
I have fused pine tree needles and cone designs to each of the streaky blue rondels. The beautifully crafted pottery/quarter sawn white oak base continues that theme with pine cone accents. The background is Wissmach art glass and the rondels are of Bullseye glass.
The Deep South owes much to the noble pine tree. It has provided beauty, shade, refuge, fuel and income for centuries. And this work sings its praises.
As with all of my works, this monumental lamp uses the finest materials and is unique.
