Using a high-fire slump mold of imperial koi fish in a manner never envisioned, I have used stained glass strips, mosaic frit, ribbons and murruni to create a “deconstructed” school of koi. If you look carefully into the interior, their fragmentary imprints, and the waves surrounding them, can be seen throughout this unique work.
Fittingly, the stained glass I have chosen is called “wild waters” by Youghiogheny Art Glass, highlighted by frit, noodles, spirals and murrini. And like all of my work, it is one of a kind. INQUIRE.
