Very few embellishments can enhance the beauty of deep iridescence, but pure yellow gold certainly can.
For this vase I have used iridescent glass underlaid with a sheet of pure white glass, both fused under crucible heat into one solid slab. To that I have affixed a selection of 23k golden feathers and bees and then slumped the whole again under intense heat so that gold and glass are forever one. In this final process the vase also develops unique folds and pleats which set it squarely apart from any other creation from Rabbit Trace.
This asymmetrical vase, with multiple highlights of 23 karat yellow gold, emits a spectrum of intense colors from deep red and purple to bright blue and yellow. It’s size and presence is substantial, measuring 8” x 10" . It makes itself known in any setting.
