This tall vase, using vibrant Wissmach sea blue transparent/crystal stained glass and a clear glass inner layer, begins as a flat project, on top of which is placed stringers and ribbons of various colors and thicknesses, and frit of varying hues. The whole is then fused so that all components become one inseparable design.
The result is then placed on a form, slumped in the kiln and observed until the desired shape is achieved.
This piece is, by its nature, one of a kind.
