Scarlet red glass confetti is fused-fired onto a pure white/clear circular base at temperatures reaching 1480 degrees. The work is again fired at slump temperatures to create a fluted vase with complex folds and pleats. The confetti floats slightly above the white glass, giving a subtle dimensional effect to the work.
As ever, this vase is one of one and never again be duplicated.
