EGYPTIAN BLUE CANDLE STAND An extraordinary sheet of jet black glass with intense surface luminescence, over layered with water clear glass, graces this work measuring 5”x 4”. High notes of blue, purple, silver and red give the stand a real presence and unique glow. Slightly concave and highly flared balusters lead from the candle cup to the folded and pleated feet. The result of fusing and draping under extreme temperatures creates a fluid and curvaceous work that recalls the lapis blues used in ancient Egypt. Ideal for votive candles or incense.
