The great tit is a beautiful but small woodland bird with a black head and neck, prominent white cheeks, and olive upper parts and yellow underparts. A high fired “rondel” faithfully reproduces the subtle shading of this gentle creature. A custom frame of cherry and African ebony completes this work.
Surrounding the rondel is limited production Youghiogheny stained glass is shades of streaky translucent cream and blue. Each piece of glass has been wrapped in copper and silver soldered. Thereafter a custom patina is added and encompassed by a patinated zinc border. The work is signed in pure copper.
