THE CAMP FIRE

THE CAMP FIRE This substantial work is named after the massive and highly destructive 2018 California Camp fire. While nothing can truly capture the intensity of a fast moving forest blaze, I’ve used deep red to suggest fire, jet black for ash, blue for sky and green for earth. Like the Camp fire, this fused glass work was subjected to intense heat which transformed glass frit, ribbons, stringers and stained glass into one inseparable whole. A soft wave was then added that allows the work to stand on its own. A large, heavy work measuring 8.5” x 17.5” ALL PROCEEDS TO TIRED DOG RESCUE
