A one-off fingerprint vase built up from large translucent rounds of glass, between which are placed 23 karat yellow gold foil, blue glass confetti and stringers. This assemblage is then subjected to crucible temperatures of 1480 degrees to fuse the elements into one solid ingot. This is then slumped into the final vase form of opulent folds and pleats...a finished work unique from any other.
This vase can hold its own in any setting, but radiates when paired with deep red roses or a brightly colored mix of blooms.
As with all of my fused works, there is nothing to fade or wear away. The only elements used are molten glass and, in some works like this one, precious metals of gold, silver or platinum fused within the glass.
