BABY BLUE APIARY
Using the same fine materials as in the larger lamp, “The Blue Apiary”, this diminutive table lamp is a fine smaller paean to the threatened but vital honey bee. Crafted of Michigan quarter-sawn white oak, with real acorn pull and measuring 20"x 9.5"x 9.5", it features the hand-painted and high fired hexagons of English artist, Bren Henderson, especially for this series.
Each hexagon is surrounded by the finest copper foiled, soldered and patinated hand-colored and hand-formed Youghiogheny stained glass of white opal and mottled cobalt blue.
This lamp is one of a very small series of lighting devoted to the honey bee, each using distinctive and unique stained glass that identifies them as strictly one-off creations, not to be duplicated again.
